What to look for in customer feedback

In building your company it can be attractive to keep the ball in your own court, in terms of decision making. Moving forward with plans and the business path is a matter of pride and expertise, and who knows your company better than you do yourself?

While there is a benefit to having such a strong sense of self-reliance, it’s important not to let your pride get in the way of your progress.

Feedback management is about letting others help you in the path to success. The answer to the above question may very well be that your customers actually know your company better than you do at this point, so it’s imperative that you listen to them when they are providing information on how you should change and move forward! It is a mutually beneficial relationship for the both of you: customers receive the recognition and improvements they want to see in their favorite company, and you receive higher customer satisfaction, increased returning buyers, and a nice facelift for your ever-changing business.

What is there to lose when opening the floor up for customer input on your company path? You need the information that customers have, and customers want dearly to give it to you. Keep an open mind and an open ear and accept the help your buyers want to provide!
